Canadian Commercial Ventures (CCV) is focused on building a portfolio of professionally managed Self-Storage facilities across Western Canada and the United States.   This portfolio is being built through a combination of new development, acquisition, and conversion.   Our vision is to combine strong financial backing with expertise in the management and operation of facilities to create a portfolio of first class facilities. 


CCV is part of a larger investment group focused on Self-Storage.  In addition to allowing CCV to access both institutional and private equity, this partnership allows CCV to bring added value to both investors and potential acquisition partners.   Along with expertise in real estate development, the group has access to some of the best tax, legal, and estate planning minds in Western Canada.   This allows CCV to provide value added advice to potential acquisition partners when structuring deals.


Our commitment is to bring professional management to each of our facilities.  In addition to consolidating all facilities under one umbrella, CCV brings modern, professional management to the portfolio.  From internet presence and marketing, through to unit mix and ancillary sales, CCV’s mandate is to maximize the efficiency and revenue potential of each location.



About CCV

Roland has been involved in sales and business development for over 20 years, and has been involved   in real estate since 2003. He spent almost a decade in private equity, working with a real estate based equity firm with assets in the billions. Roland managed teams in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, and led business development, sales, and client/partner relations in all three regions. In his role as Vice President, he was responsible for annual sales of over $50 million and managed relationships representing over $500 million in investments.


Roland is also a member in good standing and certified in Operations and Management by the Canadian Self Storage Association (CSSA).

In addition to his projects with StoreWest, Matt has been investing in real estate since 2000 and in self storage since 2012. He built an extensive real estate business as a licensed agent over 15 years while growing his investment portfolio. With his broad real estate background, he has worked with investors to achieve their financial goals through self-storage, rent to own, residential property, multi-family commercial, and land syndication.

Matt is a member in good standing and is certified in Operations and Management by the Canadian Self Storage Association (CSSA), as well as a member of the Self Storage Association (SSA). He has also completed extensive training at the Self Storage Academy in Indianapolis, Indiana, and has been mentored in commercial investment by Scott Meyers of the Self Storage Investing Group, and the brokers of Re/Max Commercial Calgary
